Doug Stowe is using the Thin Air Press in a class at the wood shop of Clear Spring School. The Grade 7 and 8 students are building canes to give to their local free medical clinic. What a great project.

Here is the intro to Doug’s blog. I think it says it all.

Wisdom of the Hands

This blog is dedicated to sharing the concept that our hands are essential to learning- that we engage the world and its wonders, sensing and creating primarly through the agency of our hands. We abandon our children to education in boredom and intellectual escapism by failing to engage their hands in learning and making.

Thanks Doug for all your support.

The April issue of Woodsmith Magazine, no. 170 has a two page article (page 14) about our Thin Air press kit. The article and pictures are very well done, showing the simplicity of using the kit and its resuts.

Thanks Woodsmith for the great article.

The article is not online but can be picked up at almost all bookstores.
